Wisbech Town Cricket & Hockey Club

The management team and members welcome you to the home of Wisbech Town Cricket and Hockey Club. The club has been in existence since 1895 and today boasts a large membership of adult and junior players.

The club works hard to make sure cricket and hockey are accessible to all and provides an opportunity for members to play the sport they love at many different levels and the teams are scattered through various competative leagues. Both hockey and cricket sections have many young players taking part in training and youth sides as well as those who are aged 13 and over being able to compete in adult teams.

There are opportunities to take on management committee responsibilities, develop as umpires and coaches as well as fundraising for equipment and the rebuilding of the Clubhouse through the Crockey Project.

Please browse the pages of the website to find the area that most interests you, follow us on Facebook to see what new initiatives are running and if you have any questions please get in touch using info@wtchc.co.uk

The club enjoys seeing current members enjoy the opportunities on offer and look forward to welcoming new ones!

Artists impression of new pavillion

The Crockey Project

Originally constructed in 1961, the existing pavilion is now in a very sad state of repair both inside and out, causing it to be uneconomical to run.

The pavilion is no longer fit for purpose, with insufficient changing space for the seven hockey teams (from September through to April) and four cricket teams (from April through to September) which we currently run. Not to mention the shortage of disabled facilities and lack of separate changing space for umpires and officials.

Every penny we raise will make a difference (and every pound will buy a facing brick), but we are ambitious with financial goals, realising that…

Every £25

will buy an internal door

Every £50

will buy 18m of guttering

Every £100

will buy a fire-rated door

And £1000

will buy a log-burner for the back bar!

Donations to the Crockey Project can be made via our JustGiving page, or send a cheque made payable to WTCHC to: The Pavilion, Harecroft Road, Wisbech PE13 1RR.

Please don’t forget if you ‘Gift Aid’ your donation, it’s worth 25% more to us, at no extra cost to you.
