JUNIOR HOCKEY AT WISBECH TOWN HC

Hockey is a fast paced, fun, exciting team sport for boys and girls. It promotes physical development, co-operation, and core life skills.

Junior training takes place on a Saturday morning (9AM to 10AM), and a Wednesday evening (5:30PM to 6:30PM). Sessions start in early September, and usually runs until Spring. Sessions are open to boys and girls aged between 5 and 14 years old.

Games are normally played on a Sunday, with Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, and Under 14 teams.

NEW PLAYERS

WTHC welcomes new members of any ability - whether your child has played before, or is totally new to the game. For beginners, there are club sticks available to borrow initially (until players purchase their own); WTHC strongly recommends all players wear a gum shield and shin pads (as well as bringing a drink) for all training sessions.

For 2023/24, WTHC is extending its introductory scheme, with the first three sessions FREE for new players; after this, players will be invited to become a WTHC Member.

Please Note: when signing up a new Junior player, we require a parent or guardian to sign up on the Teamo app as well - to ensure Safeguarding measures are maintained.
