LADIES HOCKEY AT WISBECH TOWN HC

Hockey is a fun, and exciting sport for everyone.

Wisbech Town HC now has four Ladies teams, catering for all abilities and experiences. The Ladies 1st XI currently plays in East Area Women’s Division 1 North, with the 2nd XI competing in Division 3 North West, and the 3rd team in Division 5 North West.

For 2022/23, WTHC has added a Ladies 4th team! The team will also play in Division 5 North West, but is designed to help young players transition into Senior hockey, from Junior, whilst also providing valuable playing opportunities for our newer players, or Back to Hockey participants.

Players must be aged 13 or older to play Senior hockey, though they are permitted to train with Senior teams from 12-and-a-half, in order to help them adapt to demands of Senior hockey. Wisbech Town HC strongly encourages progression through our various teams - from Junior right through to our 1st XIs.

NEW PLAYERS

WTHC welcomes new members of any ability - whether you have played before, or are totally new to the game. For beginners, there are club sticks available to borrow initially (until players purchase their own); but WTHC strongly recommends all players wear a gum shield and shin pads (as well as bringing a drink) for all training sessions.

For 2022/23, WTHC is extending its introductory scheme, with the first three sessions FREE for new players; after this, players will be invited to become a WTHC Member.

Please Note: when signing up a new Under 18 player, we require a parent or guardian to sign up on the Teamo app as well - to ensure Safeguarding measures are maintained.
