WTHC THANK NEW KIT SPONSORS

Wisbech Town HC is delighted to have launched a brand new playing kit for the 2023/24 hockey season.

The new design sees the club return to its original colour scheme of red and navy, helping to bring both the hockey and cricket sections of Wisbech Town Cricket & Hockey Club into alignment, with both sections sporting the same colours on match days, as well as seeing a unified set of training kit available to all members of WTCHC.

“We are thrilled with how the kit looks, and it’s great to see our members on the field wearing it.” WTHC Chair Matt Esser said. “It was important for the club to return to its traditional roots by re-introducing the navy elements of our kit, whilst also strengthening ties across the wider club, with the hockey and cricket sections now aligned in terms of club colours.”.

“There are a number of players that represent Wisbech on both the hockey pitch and cricket field, and we have successfully shared facilities at Harecroft Road for more than 60-years now, and we hope for many more decades to come thanks to our brand new hockey pitch, and exciting plans for a new clubhouse in the near future.”.

The new WTHC kit sees a number of local businesses coming on board as team sponsors, helping to secure the clubs future both on the field and off it.

“On behalf of WTHC, I’d like to say a big thank you to those local businesses who have sponsored us, and supported the purchase of the new kit,” Esser continued. “As a community club, the support of local businesses is vital to our ability to provide hockey opportunities for players of all ages and abilities, with our junior section welcoming players from as young as 5-years-old, whilst our Senior sides include players from the age of 13 all the way up to 60+.”

Elgoods Brewery Ltd, Grovemere Property, Meadowson Ltd, Fraser Dawbarns LLP, Knowles Transport, WSP Plastering, and WEP Powdercoating Ltd have all sponsored the new WTHC kit, which is worn by all four Mens hockey teams, and all four Ladies hockey teams - with representatives from Elgoods Brewery, and Fraser Dawbarns LLP pictured above with members of the WTHC Ladies 1st XI, and Mens 2nd XI.
